Unlocked Nokia Lumia 800 arrives in UK November 16

Nokia’s communication director has confirmed today that Lumia 800 will be released in UK November 16.

We have good news for Nokia Lumia 800 fans! The unlocked version of the smartphone will be released the same day as the carrier-locked version. The downside, if we can put it like that is that it will be offered only by Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U. However, you can purchase the handset on a contract from Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and Three. Apparently all other retailers will offer it in 2012.

Weighting 142g, the phone will carry a 3.7-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 480×800 resolution, Gorilla Glass, multi-touch input method, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate and touch-sensitive controls. Also it will offer an 8MP camera with 3264×2448 resolution, auto-focus, dual-LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB 2 slot and 3.5mm jack.

On the inside, we have a 1.4GHz Scorpion processor, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with no possibility of external expansion. Of course, the handset will run the Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.
