ZTE Light – a new Android 2.1 Tablet comes from Beijing via ZTE

ZTE is a corporation from Beijing that provides telecommunications equipment and network solutions. This week ZTE launched a tablet with Android operating system and a 7 inch touchscreen.

The ZTE Light is specialy designed to “access with its vast range of entertainment and business applications. It is altogether a more portable, easy-to-use and internet friendly tablet PC, adding a brand new experience to entertainment and internet access.“

This tablet has a 7 inch LCD touchscreen with 400 x 800 pixels resolution. Comes with 512 MB of RAM and 512 MB ROM. ZTE Light has a 3 megapixels camera, Bluetooth, external microSD slot up to 32 GB, 3.5 mm audio jack and it weights 403 grams. According to press release, the battery is capable to 10 hours autonomy.

ZTE Light supports voice calling on dual band UMTS 2100 MHz /900 MHz and internet access on HSUPA network with a download speed of up to 7.2 Mbps and an upload speed of up to 5.76 Mbps.

The price and countries where it will be available was not mentioned for the moment.
