Twitter for Android updated: brings push notifications and multiple accounts
Seems like this is the “update” day for Android devices! In a previous post we’ve talked about the Facebook v1.6.1 update and its new improvements, and that was not enough, because Twitter for Android has also received a major update.
Just raining with cool updates! What can you wish more? Now, let’s see what this new Twitter update brings! Well, Twitter has announced on its official blog all the features of this major update, and one of the most important is the support for push notifications and multiple accounts. Talking about the push notifications, which have been missing from the official client and all third party Twitter clients on Android, it seems that this update makes Twitter for Android the first and only Twitter client on the platform with the feature.
Another great feature that has been missing was the multiple accounts feature, which represents an important element of third party clients like Tweet Deck. With this new update on the official client, the users can relax because they won’t have to rely on other clients anymore.
The latest and greatest version of Twitter for Android is now available in the Android Market! So head over there and download it. Also, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter as well as on Facebook, for all the latest news, apps and updates from MobileSmug.
