Xperia arc release date in US

The Xperia arc has been confirmed by Rogers carrier and will be available starting April 28, and the next on the list will be the US carriers that are  intending to release the Android 2.3-powered device in the US stores this summer.

“I just got something from my US colleagues and the current plan is to have an “a”-variant available at retailers this summer. This version will be optimized for use in the US (GSM/UMTS). I’ll keep you posted as I get more details.” This is the answer of the Sony Ericsson Product blog when a user asked about the arc’s availability in the US. The exact release date of Xperia arc is unknown as this time.

As a reminder, Xperia arc is an Android 2.3-powered smartphone with 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and an 8 megapixels camera capable to record videos at 720p resolution. Also, Xperia arc smartphone has a large 4.2 capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, scratch-resistant.
