Release date of Xperia Play on Rogers carrier
After the official release of Sony Ericsson Play at MWC 2011, the canadian carrier Rogers announced the availability of Xperia Play smartphone for this spring.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is the first smartphone with Playstation-quality gaming experience via dedicated slide-out game-pad. Also, Xperia Play is the first PlayStation certified phone.
Xperia Play features a large 4.0 inch screen with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, 380 MB of RAM user available and 1 GHz Scorpion processor, Adreno 205 GPU. Other specs of Xperia Play include a Wi-Fi b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The dimensions of Xperia Play are 119 x 62 x 19 mm and the weight is around 175 grams.
“We’re excited to announce that the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY will be coming to Rogers this Spring. We know there’s been a lot of buzz about these devices since CES in January, and we wanted to let you know that Rogers is proud to be the exclusive Canadian carrier,” the company said.
Rogers didn’t mention anything about the price for Xperia Play.
