Sprint HTC EVO 3D and Evo View 4G to launch on June 24
Sprint has just announced this morning the long-awaited launch date for the newest members of its EVO line of products, the HTC EVO 3D smartphone and HTC EVO View 4G tablet.
The new HTC EVO 3D is the company’s first 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D smartphone and will be available on June 24. It will feature a 4.3-inch 3D qHD capacitive 960 x 540 px display with Dual 5 MP rear cameras (for 3D) and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera, 4GB of internal memory, 8GB microSD card pre-installed (expandable to 32GB). It will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal memory. EVO 3D will offer 2D video recording at 1080p, 3D video recording at 720p and will run the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
On the other hand, HTC EVO View 4G has very similar specs to its cousin and comes with a 7 inch touchscreen display with 5 megapixel auto-focus camera, and packs a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm snapdragon processor, 4G connectivity. “Sprint takes device innovation to a whole new level with the two newest members of the EVO family, HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO View 4G,”. The EVO View 4G will be run Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch but it will be updated to 3.0 Honeycomb.
If you want to find more details about the price you should know that the HTC EVO 3D costs $199 with a 2-year contract, starting $69.99 + $10 Premium Data add-on, and if you want to experience those fast 4G speeds (WiMAX), you’ll have to pay $29.90 extra. On the other side the price of HTC EVO View 4G is $399.99 on a 2-year contract, with $34.99 per month for 3GB of 3G data, and unlimited 4G data. You will also receive a free HTC Scribe stylus, that normally goes for $80.
