SpareOne – 15 years autonomy for the emergency phone

One of the great attractions at CES 2012 was certainly the phone for emergency calls called SpareOne, which provides 15-years of battery life in standby mode.

SpareOne is the only mobile phone that works with one AA battery, providing a constant line of communication, even in the absence of electricity. Well, there is the possibility of re-scheduling of certain phone numbers, so that there is preferential access to, but this does not necessarily say anything new.

Of course, everything is guaranteed by its own batteries, Energizer Ultimate Lithium L91 that is, but that cost only $5. In conversation the autonomy is about 10 hours, but considering that the phone would be used as back-up, 15 years sounds miraculous.

The phone comes with a free microSIM and with one battery. So the frist 15-years would be assured.

The price? Only $50. Can you believe it?
