Software update: HTC Desire HD to receive Gingerbread and Motorola Defy the Froyo
After a long long time since the rumours started to emerge, we have some proves now, not only words, that says the well known HTC Desire HD will finally receive the Gingerbread while the Motorola Defy will taste the Froyo.
These really great news comes official from an announcement from French carrier SFR, that confirms the firmware upgrade of both Desire HD and Motorola Defy for April. While the Desire HD will receive the Gingerbread in the early April, the Defy devices will taste the Froyo somewhere in the second half of April.
HTC Desire HD is the first device that packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8255 1GHz processor, 1.5 GB internal memory and 768 MB RAM. Also, the Desire HD is fully compatible with all services offered by the newly launched HTCSense.com portal.
Motorola Defy is very well known for its dust-proof and water-resistant certified qualities. It packs a 800MHz Cortex-A8 processor with a 3.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen protected by Gorilla glass, and features the MOTOBLUR UI.
