Software update for Nokia 5230, 5235, 5238, 5228, 5233, 5236: firmware v50.x.00x

nokia-logoNokia has just released a new update for six smartphones. The v50.x.00x version brings performance improvements to increase the battery life, some new functions and the latest versions of Nokia apps and services.

What is new in this version:

  • A new, faster version of the web browser, including web search integrated into the web address field, and support for multiple windows and web addresses containing non-Latin characters
  • Big clock feature, displaying the time and date when you press the menu key, if the screen and keys are locked
  • Emoticons can be used in text and multimedia messages
  • Ovi Contacts removed
  • General performance improvements

This update is available via your phone, and also using Nokia Ovi Suite.
