Samsung Epic 4G will soon receive Android 2.2 (DL11)

samsung epic 4gThe Epic 4G will finally receive the Froyo update on December 26 according to a leak screenshot that you can see in the image below, and hint that the Android 2.2.1 will be rolling out to the phone very soon.

The Android 2.2 update aka the DL11 Froyo update will start to roll on 26 December, and its purpose is to hit all Epic 4G devices before 2011. You’ll be announced about the availability of this update through an OTA (over-the-air) notification.

After you download it you’ll receive all the Froyo goodies on your Epic 4G, including:

– Upgrade of the OS from Eclair to Froyo (2.2.1)
– Ability to install applications to the SD Card
– Improved Bluetooth device support
– Bluetooth Voice Dialing
– Flash Player 10.1
– GPS Enhancements
