Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta 5 has just been updated for Android

firefox-logoToday, the Mozilla team updated the Firefox 4 Beta 5 version for Android devices . This new update brings speed improvements in page rendering, startup time, scrolling, and it should also take up less RAM.

Other improvements of the Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta 5 update includes:

Improved performance: Faster page load times, reduced startup time, better Javascript performance and lower memory usage
Continued improvements and fixes focusing on stability and usability
Firefox will now move its profile data to the SD card when you move the application to the SD card on Android 2.2 or higher.

The Vice President of Products, Jay Sullivan told IDG News Service at Mobile World Congress that Firefox 4 for Android will ship in a few weeks, so it seems this will be the last beta before the ultimately becomes “final”.

This new update it’s available for Android 2.0 and higher devices as well as Nokia’s Maemo running N900.
