Samsung pays Apple $ 30 for every smartphone sold

Apple asked in 2010 the South Korean group Samsung to pay $30 per smartphone and $40 per tablet for the licensing of patents for two types of devices, according to CNET portal.

Very few companies disclose data they receive royalties from licensing agreements for patents they hold.

Apple introduced the document on the bid process with Samsung, which takes place in a California court.

The iPhone manufacturer has offered to Samsung a 20% discount if they agreed to license certain patents in exchange. In addition, Apple also demanded royalties for Samsung phones based on Windows. According to the document, Samsung would be due to Apple’s 250 million dollars in 2010.

The process will take place throughout August, and Samsung could pay more than $2.5 billion if Apple wins.
