Rumor: Motorola Droid T2 to be the first Gingerbread handset

Motorola Droid T2 GingerbreadA new Motorola smartphone is prepared to be launched before the end of 2010. Its name is Droid T2 and it seems to be the first Gingerbread phone to join the Droid family.

And if your question is “What happened to the Nexus One receiving Gingerbread update first?” We think that Nexus One it will really be the first to receive the Android 3.0 update, but Droid T2 will be the first handset to be shipped with Gingerbread.

We don’t know yet to much about Droid T2 but we expect to bring all the high end features from Droid X and possibly a front-facing camera. Droid T2 will be the first phone based on Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2 platform and will have the ability to record full HD (1080p) videos.

Since Verizon Wireless is the largest U.S. carrier, we expect it will be the first to spread Gingerbread, and of course to launch the future Motorola Droid T2.
