Palm Pre 3, Veer and HP TouchPad were officially announced along with the release date
HP finally announced the Pre 3, Veer (the smallest webOS phone) and their tablet with webOS 2.2 operating system.
Great features on both devices, the Palm Pre 3 features a 3.6 inch multitouch display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and 1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8x55 processor. Other specs of Pre 3 include two cameras, a front camera for video calls with VGA resolution and one camera in the back which has 5 megapixels, and it’s capable to record videos at 720 pixels resolution.
Also, Pre 3 has 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, 512 MB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB internal storage (it doesn’t have a memory card slot), Bluetooth v2.1 and a 1230 mAh battery.
The release date announced by HP for Palm 3 it will be this summer, but the price was not announced yet, and no other detailes were revealed.
HP Veer is another webOS 2.2 device with slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Veer features a 2.6 inch multitouch touchscreen with 320 x 400 pixels resolution, 800 MHz Qualcomm processor, 8 GB internal storage (it doesn’t have a memory card slot) and 5 megapixels camera. Other specs of HP Veer include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 and 3.5 mm audio jack. HP Veer smartphone will be available in this early summer, but just like the Palm Pre 3, no word about the pricing yet.
HP have also launched a webOS 3.0 tablet named HP TouchPad.
The specs of HP TouchPad tablet include a 9.7 inch capacitive multitouch display, with 1024 x 768 pixels resolution, it comes with dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 512 MB of RAM. Other features include a 1.3 megapixels front camera for video calls, support for Adobe Flash 10.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v2.1, and a 6300 mAh battery.
The TouchPad tablet will be available in two versions, one with Wi-Fi and one with Wi-Fi and 3G. The release date for HP TouchPad is also scheduled for this summer. The price was not announced yet.
