Optimus 2X coming soon in Europe – release date and price revealed

The first dual-core smartphone, LG Optimus 2X, is ready to come in European markets, the first country will be Danemark with the release date on February 25 and next are the UK markets starting March 21.

LG Optimus 2X is already available for pre-order in Danemark for 3599 DKK ($650), and the release date expected to be February 25 was confirmed according to Ellos DK.

In UK, Optimus 2X is expected to arrive in March 25 at the online retailer Expansys. They say the price will be around £499.99 ($800) without contract.

LG Optimus 2X features a Tegra 2 dual-core processor with 1 GHz frequency, 8 megapixels camera with autofocus and LED flash capable to record Full HD videos (1080p). Other specs include a 4.0 inch capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 8 GB internal storage upgradable to maximum 40 GB via microSD card. The OS is Android 2.2, but it is upgradable to new version of Android Gingerbread.
