Nokia N8, the last N-series phone with Symbian OS

N8 is the latest Symbian N-series from Nokia and it runs the MeeGo, hybrid OS (based on Mobilin and Maemo).

The rumour i heard from mobilecrunh.com, informs us that Nokia is not giving up completely on this platform, the X and E-series will receive Symbian^3 and Symbian^4 to future, while the C-series will run on Symbian Series 40.

It remains to be seen if MeeGo will manage to impose Nokia on smartphone market of high-end devices, in context of concurence, where IOS, Android, higher webOS Bada and last but not least Windows Phone are some shining stars.
