New Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Announced

The newly announced Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available in next few weeks for some smartphones and tablets.
Google has announced an improved version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, that is Android 4.0.3, which apparently will become available for some smartphones and tablets soon. Still we don’t know which are the lucky handsets but I’m sure details will surface when the time is right.
“Today we are announcing Android 4.0.3, an incremental release of the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform. The new release includes a variety of optimizations and bug fixes for phones and tablets, as well as a small number of new APIs for developers. The new API level is 15.”
Among the new APIs in Android 4.0.3 we can find:
- Social stream API in Contacts provider
- Calendar provider enhancements
- New camera capabilities
- Accessibility refinements
- Incremental improvements in graphics, database, spell-checking, Bluetooth
Now, all we have to do is wait and see which are those smartphones and tablets that will get it these weeks.
