Motorola Droid X2 specs revealed
Some official specs for Motorola DROID X2 has been officially leaked, which means that a launch of the device is approaching very soon. The Motorola Droid X2 is supposed to be one of three phones that will be launched by Verizon on Thursday, although with no official word from the carrier.
The new Motorola DROID X2 will be powered by a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and will be the first dual-core handset from Verizon. It will feature a 4.3 inch display and qHD resolution (540 x 960), and an 8 megapixels camera with video capture at 720p. The RAM/ROM duo matches the original handset at 512MB/8GB and the Tegra 2 processor allows for 1080p playback using HDMI at 26-30 fps. The Wi-Fi supports 802.11a as opposed to the 802.11b on the first-gen model.
Motorola Droid X2 will run the Android 2.2 OS, but there’s a hope that maybe at the launch it will come with Gingerbread. The new Droid X2 is not an LTE enabled phone, and this means that the honor of being the Verizon’s first 4G supported dual-core phone will go to the Motorola DROID Bionic.
