iPhone 5 preorders on September 30 with October 7 launch
Apple will soon open up the preorder for the highly anticipated star, the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 preorders will start at the end of September and the launch date of the device is set to be somewhere on October 7th or the 14th.
According to Mark Gurma from 9to5Mac, Apple is currently deciding between two launch dates, October 7th and October 14th:
“Apple currently plans to begin pre-orders for their next-generation smartphone in the final days of September. The company has still not finalized the pre-order start date, but is debating between Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th. The 30th seems more likely at this point according to one of our sources. Pre-orders for the new iPhone starting in late September will also mean that Apple’s fall event will take place in September; which would seem to counter NewsCorp’s Kara Swisher’s combative insistence of an October iPhone 5 event.“
The launch date is rumored to be October 7th since there are no current problems with mass production preparations. The new iPhone 5 is expected to be announced at the same date when the iOS 5 and new iPods will be launched. So, the preorders will start between either Thursday September 29 or Friday September 30, but because we’re used to a latter date the 30 is looking more likely.
