First quad-core on its way
If you are already tired of the single core or even dual core handsets, HTC are preparing a quad-core new baby, HTC Edge.
Apparently, the smartphone will be the first Tegra 3-powered Android smartphone with a 4.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a maximum 1280×720 resolution, 720p display and an 8MP camera with 28-millimeter f/2.2 lens.
Of course, we shouldn’t forget the AP30 Tegra CPU from NVIDIA which offers four 1.5GHz cores. In addition to all this, the smartphone will have 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0 and 32 GB internal storage. Regarding the software, it will also have improved HTC services such as HTC Listen(music store), HTC Read(book store), HTC Play (used for gaming), HTC Watch and HTC’s custom user interface, HTC Sense 4.0.
Now, I don’t know how you feel but this sure sounds good for a smartphone and personally, I can’t wait to see this out there on shelves. The thing is, we still have no information regarding its availability or its price but we’ll sure expect it in 2012 running the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
