A new device, PSP-like Smartphone by Sony Ericsson and Google

Sony Ericsson and Google are working together to develop a gaming platform for a new device, a PSP-like Smartphone that is expected to be launched this October.

This new device seems to be a hybrid between PSP Go and Samsung Captivate. So we believe it’s going to look like a slider smartphone with game controls instead of QWERTY keyboard, with “touch pad” for analog controls, PSP and shoulders buttons.

Some features of this PSP-like Smartphone include a 3.7 to 4.1 inch display with WVGA, 5 megapixels camera, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and it will run Android OS, maybe Android 3.0 Gingerbread.

PSP-like Smartphone will include besides the old PSX, the new PSP games like Call of Duty, God of War, Modern Warfare and games with reality features.

Sony Ericsson will release this device under Xperia series brand and will carry the Playstation tag. We don’t know anything about the price, but as soon as we find out, we will share it to you along with other new information.
