Google Earth 1.1 brings the ocean on your Android device

Google Earth 1.1 for Android devicesA new version of Google Earth is now available and free, the 1.1 version brings along the marine world and lets you explore the vast ocean and what’s underneath.

At this app contributed over 100 persons, which explored the entire ocean and made hundreds of photos and videos to bring you a unique experience with the “Explore the Ocean” layer  with special gold icons representing the Mission Blue Hope Spot initiative.

You can zoom the ocean surface, use two fingers and “look around” to change your viewpoint, explore the undersea world and rotate your view with a simple twist of your fingers. Amazing, all the entire ocean in the palm of your hand. Now you can tilt your view and see mountainous landscapes or underwater canyons. Listen Darth Vader sounds while you are exploring the sea and believe you’re in a scuba gear.

But that’s not all, if you are the lucky owner of a Android 2.2 device you can watch videos right in the Google Earth balloon.

Google Earth 1.1 is available for most Android devices running version 2.1 or later in the Android Market or by scanning the QR code below.
