Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD on its way

Ladies and gentlemen, a brand new handset is about to arrive in town!

We don’t know when or how but we have two possibilities: we may take a first look at this baby at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (around 1st of March 2012) or Sony might show it to us from the floor of CES in Las Vegas. Now, this might be a way for the company to draw some attention and sign with local carriers, if we think about the small smartphone market share Sony Erricson has in the U.S.

Apparently, the new handset, which is inspired by the Xperia Arc launched this year, will have a 720p screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a full HD video recording support, which makes us think a dual-core processor is involved. Therefore, we are about to see improvements concerning display and video and maybe all happening at higher speed. A new feature will be the possibility to take a photo during video recordings.
