HTC One comes with only 4 megapixels camera – see why
Yes, yes is true! HTC announced today simultaneous in London & in New York, the new high-end device named One with the smallest camera which I see in markets now for other similar devices.
I think we all wondered, why only 4-megapixels camera? True? HTC responds to this question with a single word, Ultrapixel – ”doing the right thing for image quality”. Everything is ok so far, but more pixels increase the quality of photos, no? Hower, i don’t want to criticize this initiative, and I will expect to see some full resolution pictures shoted by HTC One 4-megapixels camera.
In technical words, the Ultrapixel 4-megapixel sensor measures one-third of an inch, which is the same size as the sensors found in phones as the Nokia Lumia 920 or iPhone 5. The F2 apperture of camera allows to make better photos in low-light conditions. Each pixel on HTC’s backside-illuminated sensor has an area of 4 square microns. By comparison, every pixel in the 8-megapixel sensor of last year’s HTC One X had an area of 1.96 square microns per pixel.
