Infuse 4G, a high-end Samsung device with 4.5 screen and 1.2 GHz processor (video)

A new good looking Samsung smartphone has just been announced at the CES 2011, the i997 Infuse 4G, which apparently is the successor of Samsung i897 Captivate but brings a much faster CPU and larger display.

Beside its 4.5 screen and 1.2 GHz processor, Samsung i997 Infuse 4G benefits of a new Super AMOLED technology, known as the Super AMOLED Plus that should lead to a better image quality by getting rid of the Pentile matrix in favor of a conventional RGB subpixel layout. Also, this new Super AMOLED technology should also improve the contrast and outdoor visibility.

Other specs of Samsung i997 Infuse 4G include a 1.2 GHz Hummingbird CPU, HSPA+ support, a 8 megapixel primary camera and a 1.3 megapixel secondary one. It runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, even though the Android 2.3 Gingerbread was released about a month ago. More specs and also the price and release date of AT&T Infuse 4G will be revealed very soon.
