Adobe launches Photoshop Touch SDK, connecting Android tablets with CS5
Adobe is coming with some great news for the tablet market, because they have announced the launch of Photoshop Touch, a platform that will allow users to interact with Photoshop using mobile applications created with the accompanying SDK.
The SDK works in conjunction with Photoshop CS5 and a new scripting engine and lets devices on Android, BlackBerry and iOS tablets to interact with Photoshop on the desktop. With this new Photoshop Touch SDK you can paint, create custom color swatches and quick sketching on the go, and use Photoshop tools directly from the tablet.
Well how it works? The tablet simply connects to the PC via a secure connection, and you can create content on the tablet and have it seamlessly imported into Photoshop. Adobe has developed until now three apps for iOS: Adobe Color Lava, Adobe Eazel and Adobe Nav.
Adobe’s Creative Suite has been updated to Version 5.5. SDK is free and Adobe invites developers to download it right now so head over there to get started, and it will allow apps to be developed on Android and other platforms. You can access the free SDK at www.adobe.com/devnet/photoshop. The users of Photoshop CS5 can update starting May 3, and the iOS versions of Lava, Eazel and Nav will be available in May.
