OnStar creates an app for 2011 lineup of General Motors
At the beginning of 2010, OnStar created a special smartphone application for Chevrolet Volt. This application allows drivers to control charging, locking and unlocking their cars and control monitor system from everywhere.
OnStar thought this app shouldn’t be limited just for Chevrolet Volt so they are extenting the concept to the entire 2011 lineup of General Motors.
This new extended concept brings a lot of improvements that can be managed with your iPhone, BlackBerry, or Android handset. These new services brought by OnStar are : remote starting, access to vehicle data (pressures and oil levels), car location, lock or unlock doors and allows users to schedule service appointments with a dealer.
