Firmware update for Samsung Galaxy S I9000: Android 2.3.4 [video]

samsung-galaxy-s-i9000A new update has been leaked for the Galaxy S I9000, which is an official build of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and the build date of this update is June 3rd.

This software update is available only for the European Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000, so don’t try it on any US Galaxy S devices because is not compatible, and could cause some serious damage. Also, don’t try to test this new update on other device, the result will most likely be irreparable.

This Android 2.3.4 update for Samsung Galaxy S brings a Honeycomb port, that will improve the speed of GPS, HW3D, Phone (SMS, Signal), the microSD and Data (but you need to manually set APNs). The Honeycomb port for the Galaxy S is performing quite fast, although not all features on the handset would work as planned after installing this update. So, it’s a work in progress, and soon all the problems should be fixed and the update will be completely ready for your device.
