LG Optimus LTE, LG Optimus Sol, LG Eclipse and LG Prada 3.0 among the first LG devices to receive Ice Cream Sandwich
LG announces the schedule and devices to receive the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update.
First it was Samsung, followed by Sony Ericsson and now LG to announce the devices that will upgrade to Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the approximate period of the happy event. Apparently, the last two somehow synchronize when it comes to upgrading to ICS as LG estimates to begin the update in the second quarter of 2012.
The owners of LG Optimus LTE, elegant Prada phone by LG 3.0, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus Sol, LG myTouch Q and LG Eclipse will be the first to enjoy the Android Ice Cream Sandwich in the second quarter of 2012. Then,in the third quarter is the turn of LG Optimus 3D, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus Big, LG Optimus Q2 and LG Optimus EX.
Now, we don’t know for sure when the update will happen as LG says “the exact dates can vary by market, as each country can have different requirements depending on the carrier and the smartphone model“. But I’m sure the company will tell us details at the right moment.
