A new great app has been released in Android Market, the VEVO app for devices with firmware 2.1 and higher.
I’m sure you have heard before about VEVO on YouTube. It has a huge collection of music videos and exclusive content with 7,500 artists in more than 25,000 music videos collected on their services.
The VEVO app arrives in Android Market with a beautiful design and a few cool feature such as:
• Access VEVO’s entire music video catalog – 25,000 videos from more than 7,500 of your favorite artists • Features include: exclusive videos, premieres, top charts, top playlists, artists on tour & VEVO original music programming • Share any video easily with friends via Twitter & Email • Purchase your favorite music from Amazon • Use Voice Control to search your favorite artist and/or song • Have fun with music trivia before watching each video
VEVO for Android will work over 3G network connections, and if you want a higher quality music video experience, you can access it via Wi-Fi or 4G networks.
The Motorola Milestone was spotted today on Youtube, and of course, we have the video available on this page. I really like the presentation, is simple and at the same time consistent, offering all the information you need to make a good impression.
Milestone 2 looks exactly like the Droid 2, the only difference is that Milestone is made out of carbon. It features a 5 megapixels camera with dual led flash, HD video recording, 1GHz OMAP SOC, 512MB of RAM and runs Android 2.2 Froyo.
Also, it has a QWERTY keyboard, you can resize and filter widgets, it can run up to 7 apps at the same time and offers 3G mobile hotspot for up to 5 devices.
Update: After yesterday we manage to obtain a leaked video with Milestone 2, now is official on Motorola website. MOTOBLUR is the star feature of Milestone 2 and helps you to manage more easily your emails, messages and social updates. Also, a lot of Google mobile applications are preinstalled on the device (Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube) and you have access to Android Market to get what app you like from more than 70,000 applications.
“MILESTONE 2 offers more power, more speed, with an improved keyboard, so users can send, access and share information even quicker than before to manage their work and personal life,”said Alain Mutricy, senior vice president, portfolio and device product management, Motorola Mobility. “This introduction not only reaffirms our commitment to innovate on Android but offers consumers the leading edge features they crave including fast web browsing, messaging, application downloads and multimedia.”
Motorola Milestone 2 will be available in Europe beginning Q4 2010.
A new Android smartphone from LG is now available on Rogers, and is not the LG E720 spotted yesterday.
Its name is LG Loop, is an elegant phone with a curved shape covered with brushed metal, quite a beauty, but speaking about the operating system we are kind of disappointed because it runs Android 1.6, and that is placing it in the low-end of Android family.
LG Loop features a 3.0 inch display,Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3.0 megapixels camera and 120 MB internal storage (2 GB SD card expandable to 32 GB). It offers the ability to tag a photo and upload it on social websites, access to push e-mail services and has a customizable widget that allows you to access what things you want to see like news, weather and social networking details directly from your home screen.
And because is an Android phone you have access to all standard Android features like Youtube, Gmail, Android app Marketplace and a lot more.
The LG Loop is available exclusively on Rogers for $29.99 with a 3-year, $199 with a 2-year contract and $249 with a 1-year contract.
