Adobe launches Photoshop Touch SDK, connecting Android tablets with CS5

Adobe is coming with some great news for the tablet market, because they have announced the launch of Photoshop Touch, a platform that will allow users to interact with Photoshop using mobile applications created with the accompanying SDK.

The SDK works in conjunction with Photoshop CS5 and a new scripting engine and lets devices on Android, BlackBerry and iOS tablets to interact with Photoshop on the desktop. With this new Photoshop Touch SDK you can paint, create custom color swatches and quick sketching on the go, and use Photoshop tools directly from the tablet.

Well how it works? The tablet simply connects to the PC via a secure connection, and you can create content on the tablet and have it seamlessly imported into Photoshop. Adobe has developed until now three apps for iOS: Adobe Color Lava, Adobe Eazel and Adobe Nav.

Adobe’s Creative Suite has been updated to Version 5.5. SDK is free and Adobe invites developers to download it right now so head over there to get started, and it will allow apps to be developed on Android and other platforms. You can access the free SDK at The users of Photoshop CS5 can update starting May 3, and the iOS versions of Lava, Eazel and Nav will be available in May.


Hannpad, another tablet with dual-core Tegra II processor

Hannpad is a new Android 2.2 tablet that comes from Hannspree and is available on Carphone Warehouse for only £249.99.

Hannpad comes with an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz frequency and 512 MB of RAM. The screen has 10.1 inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, a little less than the 1280 x 800 of Acer Iconia A500, Samsung Galaxy Tab S II, the Motorola XOOM or the Asus EEE Pad Transformer.

Other specs of Hannspree Hannpad tablet include a HDMI and USB port and runs the Android 2.2 Froyo. Hannpad comes with 16 GB built-in memory expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card slot. The tablet is capable to show videos in full 1080p HD quality. The battery has 3650 mAh and the device weights 745 grams.


Motorola Xoom will receive Flash 10.2 OTA Update: Android 3.0.1

Good news for all Motorola Xoom owners, because today in a short time you’ll receive an update that will prepare the XOOM by giving it the specific enhancements to support Adobe Flash Player 10.2.

These good news comes from an official company tweet, saying that “Motorola XOOM update rolling out in phases starting tonight & includes required enhancements to support upcoming Adobe Flash Player 10.2.

This new Android 3.0.1 update will also bring some new fixes and improvements, and it seems some of them will surround daylight savings time glitch. The Flash 10.2 version could be a major improvement over past implementation of Flash by adding hardware acceleration on top of the speed advantage of a dual-core processor. The company announced that users which are running rooted or otherwise custom firmware have to go back to stock to see the notification.

The iPad 2 to be available on Rogers carrier with 1 GB+ plans

In the same day with the iPad 2 release event, the Canadian carrier Rogers has already announced their plans for the new iPad 2 tablet.

The iPad 2 release date in Canada will be on March 25 when the carrier promise to release the internet plans for tablet. All internet plans are available without a term contract and include free unlimited access to all Rogers Wi-Fi Hot Spots: 250 MB for $15 and 5 GB for $35.

The rumored news about the release date of iPad 2 on March 2 were confirmed today when Steve Jobs revealed the succesor of the most wanted tablet of 2010, and the succesor of iPad is of course the next iPad 2.

The iPad 2 tablet comes with a 9.7 inch screen with XGA resolution (1024 x 768 pixels), with a dual-core A5 processor and with a much better battery life (up to 10 hours). iPad 2 has 2 video call cameras, one in front with VGA resolution and one in back capable to capture videos at 720p resolution and photos at 960 x 720 pixels resolution.

iPad 2 is the thinkess tablet available, with only 8.8 mm and 601 grams, more easier than the first iPad that has 730 grams. Other features of iPad 2 tablet are the Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G connectivity and comes in versions with 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB storage. iPad 2 is capable to connect via HDMI cable to show videos at 1080p directly to your HDTV.

The Apple iPad 2 will also come in CDMA and EV-DO flavor, which will be available through Verizon in the US. iPad 2 is available in white and black colors.

The price and the release date of iPad 2 is also available. iPad 2 cost $500 for the version with 16 GB storage and Wi-Fi, and $630 for the version with 3G connectivity. If you chose the version with 32 GB you must pay $100 more and $200 for the version with 64 GB.

Asus Eee Pad MeMO Honeycomb Tablet (price and full specs confirmed)

Asus has recently confirmed the Eee Pad MeMO tablet will run the desirable Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and revealed the full list of specs and also the price of this new Eee Pad tablet.

Let’s begin with the specs. The Asus Eee Pad MeMO packs a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 processor, a 7 inch display with a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution and responds to capacitive finger control together with ASUS’ included stylus. It also comes with a 5 megapixels camera with LED flash on the back, and a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front, while the sensors include a gyroscope, g-sensor, light, proximity and digital compass.

Speaking about connectivity it brings WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, microUSB , a 3.5mm headphone socket and microSDHC slot. The tablet also has quadband HSPA+ support, 1GB of RAM and between 8GB and 64GB of onboard storage. The last but not the least, a great surprise is that the new Asus Eee Pad MeMO tablet runs the latest Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS.

According to ASUS Germany, the MeMO should be priced at €499 ($690) for the 8-16GB model, or €699 for the 32-64 GB model, with the Bluetooth handset.

iPad 2 to be announced on March 2 in San Francisco

Apple iPad 2 event that will start in less than a week, was announced by Apple in a recent teaser.

iPad 2 is expected to come with the same screen size as the original iPad, dual-core CPU with 1.2 GHz frequency, 512 MB of RAM and also one front and rear-facing cameras. Other specs include more space for storage and NFC support.

The iPad was the hottest technology device of 2010, selling nearly 15 million units and sparking a slew of copycat devices from rivals. More than 50 million tablets are expected to be sold this year, with Apple capturing the bulk of the demand.

HTC Flyer available for pre-order on Amazon Germany for 669 euros

After the official presentation of HTC Flyer Tablet on MWC 2011, now Amazon Germany offers the new HTC tablet for 669 euros and include Germany’s Value Added Tax (VAT).

HTC Flyer is an Android 2.4 tablet with 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM and 7 inch touchscreen with 1280 x 600 pixels resolution. Flyer has two cameras, a 5 megapixels camera on back and 1.3 megapixels front-camera. Also, HTC Flyer has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0 and HSPA+ (4G/3G+) connectivity.


Motorola XOOM price confirmed: $799 For 3G, $600 For Wi-Fi Only

After one month since the launch of the awaited XOOM tablet at the CES 2011 in Las Vegas, the Motorola XOOM tablet price was finally revealed. Also known to be the first tablet device powered by the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, Motorola XOOM tablet will sell for $799 at Verizon Wireless without any contract.

As you might know, there are two versions of Motorola XOOM available, the Wi-Fi only version which will sell for $600 without any contract and the 3G version, available for $799, also without contract.

The Honeycomb tablet packs a 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, powered by 1 GHz dual-core processor. Motorola XOOM features 2 cameras, a rear-facing camera with 5 megapixels and HD video recording capabilities, but also a 2 megapixels front-facing camera for video calls.

Motorola XOOM supports up to 10 hours of video playback, and charges in half the time of competitive tablets on the market. XOOM tablet comes with Google Maps version 5.0 with 3D interaction and with Adobe Flash Player. Motorola XOOM will be upgraded to 4G LTE later this year.

Beside the price, Sanjay Jha also confirmed that “nearly all Motorola products will use Google’s Android software this year“, but he hasn’t revealed any other details.

The tablet has 2 cameras, a 5 megapixels camera with autofocus in back-panel and 1.3 megapixels front-camera dedicated for video calls. About connectivity, Flyer has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP and GPS receiver.
