Asus Eee Pad MeMO 3D tablet – latest 3D tablet with Honeycomb OS
Today Asus has launched the 3D tablet named Eee Pad MeMO 3D, which was announced for the first date at CES2011.
This tablet comes with 3D technology, 7-inch glasses-free 3D IPS multi-touch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. The Eee Pad MeMo 3D tablet runs the Android Honeycomb operating system.
“The Eee Pad MeMO 3D is designed to be an alternative take on the 10-inch tablet that is fast becoming a standard size. This portrait-oriented device uses a screen that can also be used more traditionally with all Android Honeycomb applications, should users choose to do so,” said Asus Chairman, Jonney Shih.
Eee Pad MeMO 3D is the fourth tablet introduced by Asus this year, along with Eee Pad Transformer, Eee Pad Slider and Eee Slate.
“The bundled MeMIC Bluetooth hands-free headset makes it ideal for listening to music and making calls, while flipping the MeMO 3D into landscape turns it into a glasses-free 3D display that adds a new dimension to mobile entertainment. Consumers can enjoy movies, games and photos in 3D, all from the palm of their hand,” concluded Jonney Shih.
Furthermore, the tablet is delivered with a special stylus that can be used for note taking in portrait orientation, as well as an unique glasses-free 3D display mode for entertainment on the go.
The release date and price for Eee Pad MeMO 3D is unknown for the moment.
