Gingerbread for Nexus One coming in a few weeks

HTC Google Nexus OneGoogle is ready to release the Android 2.3 Gingerbread for Nexus One in the next coming weeks.

Google Nexus One was launched in January this year with Android 2.1 OS, and it was going to receive this summer the Android 2.2 but this update was delayed due to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Gingerbread OTA for Nexus One will happen in the coming weeks. Just hang tight,” a recent tweet from Google Nexus reads.

Android 2.3 for Nexus One comes with Internet calling, near-field communication (NFC) capabilities, a download manager, or the option to access multiple camera on the handset when available.

Also, with the new 2.3 update, Nexus One will receive a new user interface and should offer faster, one-touch word selection and copy/paste capabilities.
