This new Ham’O’Ween update features various levels set in pumpkin patches, haunted houses, and some other themed creepy places and the star feature is of course a new birdie. This new bird that will join the crew has a special ability, because you shoot it from the sling as usual, but when approach the target if you tap it it transforms into a giant bird and destroys every pig around. And to match the theme, the colors of this new bird is a combination of pumpkin orange and black. More good news for Angry Birds fans! Rovio has unveiled a trailer about the upcoming season of Angry Birds: Summer Pignic game. The pigs are coming back, and are preparing a summer “pignic” but the brave Angry Birds won’t let them mess with their eggs.
In this trailer you can notice that you’ll only have one bird and one mission on each level to kill all of the pigs, which is definitely a tough twist on the standard fowl lineup. So, it’s actually the basic premise for the entire game series, but with the extra “one bird” part. Until now, as you know the title was focused on levels with associations to specific holidays, but now, looks like it will be the first update to actually identify itself with an entire season not only a holiday. It’s not like Rovio had much to choose from, with summer months dominated by national holidays rather than the internationally-celebrated fare that would be easily recognized by its disparate user base.
The update will be available for Android, webOS, iOS, and Symbian devices, and we expect that Rovio will release this new Summer Pignic season in early-mid July, in order to get everything ready.
Seems like the guys from Rovio are never left without ideas. They have just revealed plans to implement a new “Magic” game-play element that will take Angry Birds local with location-based integration, and will enhance the game play for users when they visit real-world locations.
The concept of this new feature is based on the idea of moving around your city to unlock Angry Birds content. Since portability has definitely been a very important factor, making Angry Birds one of the most famous game in the world, the new system will be a future update to all versions of Angry Birds and will use NFC and location technology to allow a limited number of users to unlock some new content such as levels and items, just by tapping two NFC phones together or tap an NFC tag at a location. With this new feature the users will be able to compete with other players on a localized leaderboard for each venue.
Rovio wants to turn Magic into a broad platform that will be built into all of its products, spurring on more real world interactivity through NFC, GPS and other technologies. “We’re using this as a way to encourage people to go and find new places and new content,” Darahiba, product manager for Angry Birds Magic said. “It will be a distribution point for us.” The new Magic feature will allow users to unlock levels and features like the Mighty Eagle, which i’m sure you know that is the strongest Bird in the game, as well as new unknown content, once you move to a specific location. The new feature will sure make the Angry Birds game more entertaining and interactive game.
Stay tuned with MobileSmug cause in the coming weeks Rovio is preparing to release this new feature. So, check out the video below and let us know what do you thing about this new feature?

So, did you already find all the Golden Pineapples, Bananas and Stars? For those of you who didn’t find the pineapple, in Level 2-6 is located above and to the left of the slingshot. To reach it get the overhead lamp swinging back and forth until the lamp hits the pineapple. Also, the pineapples are hidden in boxes with labels on them or up by the lights. Zoom right out and search the corners of each map. You can see bananas hidden away behind grass or trees. A good tip is to widen the screen so as you can see everything on the screen because some things are hidden behind you.
Another little tip to find things is that there are so many possible angles so you have to try them all. Shoot up, back, off screens, and at things that don’t seem to have anything in them. And if you want to kill the big white bird, stay above with shots till you are near him and then use boost. Hit him with the last shot as low as possible, because if you’re quick you can take him out with 2 birds. But because there’s more than that, if you can’t find a pineapple or a banana go to YouTube there are a ton of videos showing how to get everything.
I really think the original version with the pigs was more interesting. For me, that was the greatest, because now it’s just not the same without the pigs. I hope sooner or later the pigs will be involved in some kind of way, cause i’m sure many of you would like that.
This update should strictly have been released 1st of may and subsequent releases the first of every month, but what can we do? I’m sure your angry birds trigger finger is itching for the next level, but you’ll have to wait a few more days.
