The fastest way to import contacts from Android to iPhone

I lost a lot of hours to import all my contacts from a Android phone to an iPhone. I tried to find the best solution on the internet, but, surprise, no method of all was good.

So, I tried to find a personal solution, and I remembered the Android Accounts. And, I navigate on iOS to find the Accounts sections that is available in settings. I make a login with my gmail account on my iPhone, and voila! All my contacts that was previous synchronized starts to appear in my iPhone Agenda.

This procedure took me only 1 minute to import all my contacts from my old Android Phone to my new iPhone.

Note: it is important to make a backup from your Android device to your Gmail. To do that, navigate to Settings -> Accounts -> Google -> Select your email address and press Sync. Wait the Sync to be finished and that’s it.

If you have some problems with this procedure please write me a message.

Huawei P9 Lite – Camera starts slowly after Android 7.0 update

The latest update for Huawei P9 Lite brings some bad news about your camera, because the camera is now very slow when it is started for first the time after a while.

I tried to make a full reset for the phone but with no results. I locked the camera app in background but also any results. Also, it is very important the location where the images are saved. If you use the internal memory of the phone the camera will open a lot more faster in comparison if we choose to save images/ video on the external flash drive (microSD card).

In conclusion, the best solution to make the camera of your Huawei P9 Lite faster is to choose to save images/ videos on the internal memory.

To do that, open Camera App from your phone, slide to left, and unchecked Priority save in SD card.

Medion S2217 Review – First impressions, battery ok, perfect for travel

I’m sure that, probably, Medion is not a very popular company like Dell, HP or Lenovo, but manages to impress with by performing reasonably ok for the price.

I bought this Ultra Portable notebook with a very good discount, a payed only 155 euros for version with 32 GB flash memory. I’m am very satisfied with the keyboard quality, the buttons are very great to use, I’m a persons that type fast, and it is very easy to write fast on this notebook.

medion-s2217-32gb-review

Another great thing is the battery! On technical specs, the battery of Medion S2217 it should provide a range of up to 9 hours, but if you work on documents, codding, or other task that use a less power of the notebook, you can easily overcome this limit. My record is about 11 hours and 30 minutes.

The CPU, Intel Atom, is very ok for this laptop, you can play videos at 4k resolution on YouTube without any problem. But the display, it is only fullHD, so I play videos only at this resolution.

About specifications of Medion S2217

Yes…., 2 GB of RAM are few, but we have only 1 of 2 slots with 2 GB and one free, so you can attach another one RAM memory to your device, and will be great. When I decided to also add another one memory of RAM, certainly you will find here.

Another great thing is about mouse touchpad, you can use this touchpad similar with your phone display, and you can make a zoom with it, or move up/down (scroll) the page with two fingers.

The weight is very great for a notebook, only 1.2 kg. I bought for it a silicon bag for only 3,5 euros, and I am very satisfied. In it you can put very easy the charger, one pair of headphones and a portable mouse if you are not very satisfied by the touchpad.

Few words about sounds of Medion S2217. I’m very surprised about the sound, is loud, and sounds good.

Disadvantages of Medion S2217

Sincerely, I don’t have no problems with it. I work on it for a month and even pleases me greatly.

I want to share with you a trick. This laptop have a microSD card reader on board. I use this slot, with microSD card with large capacity to extend the internal memory. Facebook background activity on iOS how to save battery life

Facebook background activity on iOS how to save battery life

If you read this post probably you know that your iOS device has an anormal battery decrease because Facebook. We now that because our devices tell us that thing when we check the usage of background activity.

If you don’t know how to check this status, you must navigate to Settings – General – Usage – Baterry usage. You will see below your Facebook app (background activity).

I have an iPad mini with iOS 8.3 installed, and the background activity for Facebook app tell me that in last 10 hours has a 90% percent activity. That anormal background activity of Facebook app decrease my iPad battery life with 30% in only 10 hours with display off!

I tried to stop the background activity for Facebook app but with any effect. Also I turned off all background activity for all apps installed on my iPad mini (WiFi version). Any effect also for this method.

The solution that works for me was to uninstall the Facebook app. Now I am happy to tell you that in standby my iPad mini tablet use in 10 hours only 1-2% of battery life.

Now when I want to check my Facebook account I use the browser. Works very smooth and has all desktop functions.

What symbolizes the bitten apple from Apple

apple-logoThe tragic story of a computer scientist genius that it’s not nearly as famous as Steve Jobs.

Alan Mathison Turing (1912 – 1954) was a brilliant British mathematician, considered one of the founders of modern computing. It was a freak. He liked Blanche Neige, mathematics and … boys.

He also like to talk on the phone for hours with his mother, who told her everything. He also liked to run a marathon and several times, completed the race in the top.

In 1940, Turing finds himself in an unusual battle camp in fact a laboratory of the famous British MI5. He manages to contribute to deciphering the mechanisms of German ENIGMA cipher machine.

Alan Turing was about to become a hero of the Second World War. Because of his genius, Churchill could receive every morning decrypted war messages of Hitler.

After the war, Turing enter the National Physical Laboratory, which builds in parallel with the Americans, the first computer in the world.
Unfortunately, police arrests for homosexuality and because this was a crime pleads guilty and accept it instead of prison-based chemical treatment of oestrogen.

Do not resist psychic and someday year 1954 anoint a apple with cyanide, bite once and dies.

Laurrent Joffrin, author of “History of secret codes” writes: “When the heroic years of informatics in California, some kid in a garage creates a computer manufacturing company, call Apple and give the apple logo colors rainbow – colors homosexual movement – which once bitten someone.”

Bit and died. It was called Turing.

How to enable HDR function on iPad tablet in 5 steps

If you are photographer, I am sure you know what’s means HDR term. The HDR function was implemented starting with iOS 5 on iPhone and on iPod, but for iPad tablets is not applied. In this article I will show you hot to enable the HDR function on your iPad tablet, but I will start now with a definition.

ipad-hdr-enable

The HDR (High Dynamic Range) is is a set of methods used in imaging and photography to allow a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging methods or photographic methods. HDR images can represent more accurately the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, from direct sunlight to faint starlight, and is often captured by way of a plurality of differently exposed pictures of the same subject matter.

Now, I will explain below the method by which you can activate the HDR iPad tablets, the simplest method involves using iFile application from Cydia. For the procedure to work you need to identify your tablet according to the assigned code which Apple and below each model of the iPad have codes. This code determines the location where files need to be modified to search, locations.

  • iPad 2 – K93, K94, K95
  • iPad 3 – J1, J2
  • iPad 4 – P101, P102, P103
  • iPad mini – P105, P106, P107

NOTE: If you want to follow these steps you must jailbreak your device (iPad, iPod or iPhone). iFans forums have an great tutorial which show step-by-step how-to jailbreak the iOS 6.

5 steps to enable HDR function on iPad tablets

1.    Open iFile and navigate to /System/Library/Frameworks/MediaToolbox.framework/your table code and search the file AVCaptureSession.plist.

2.    Press on the name of file and chose the Text Viewer option, after press the Edit button from the above screen.

<key>ChromaNoiseReduction</key>
<true/>

And after this put the below code:

<key>HDR</key>
<true/>

3.    If this line code line exist before and is checked with FALSE, you must change in TRUE value. Now press the Save button from the above screen.

4.    Now you must navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ and search the file codeAP.plist, where the „code” represent the code of your tablet.

5.    Open this file using the text editor iFile and search entry:

<key>capabilities</key>
<dict>

After this you must put the below code:

<key>camera-flash</key>
<true/>
<key>hdr-image-capture</key>
<true/

Now, save the file and make an respring.

NVidia Chimera: how it works and what are the photo advantages

tegra-4-chimeraNVIDIA today unveiled new GPU Chimera dedicated devices and mobile platforms (smartphones, tablets etc). According to the press release, Chimera is the first processor that will be dedicated for camera mobile beginning with this spring and provides information from the sensor processing in a manner similar to the image processor DSLR cameras. Moreover, Chimera boasts HDR mode “always on”, which promises obtain images with a wider dynamic range and a new way of shooting panoramas, which allows obtaining large panorama by moving the device in any direction (and not just horizontally or vertically as it does so far).

Tab-To-Track function allows tracking the subject in the frame and maintain focus even if it is moving. However, the main issue that stands out Chimera remains HDR mode.

But what actually works Chimera? And what are the benefits?

NVidia Chimera boasts primarily with performance HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode and “HDR always on”. What does this mean and what we do for you? It’s pretty simple: the market demand megapixels, in translation photo sensor that is as large resolutions. Meanwhile, mobile gadgets manufacturers can introduce their devices sensors in May with more general physical dimension that we must boast more compact gadgets (the thinnest smartphone, easiest tablet etc). The main problem is that the size of the large number of megapixel sensors is collide head.

Current technology does not allow for a wider dynamic range if the physical dimensions of the pixels are too small and, thus, are not able to absorb enough light. Currently, the mobile camera sensors shows its limitations especially in situations where the differences are characterized by high contrast. The phenomenon of “sky burned” or lack of detail in the shadows, so post-processing HDR photos is a solution that allows obtaining images with a wider dynamic range even on phones.

So, in short, the main advantage of the devices will adopt the new NVIDIA Tegra processor 4/ Chimera is that it can be further equipped with photo sensors huge resolutions (8, 13 megapixels, etc.) but – at the same time – will compensate for the lack dynamic range due pixels that can not absorb enough light through NVIDIA’s hardware algorithms. The result: better images despite higher resolutions. At least theoretically, until proven otherwise …

Another solution would be to reduce the resolution and number of pixels to equip sensor pixel sizes generous. Yes, the solution presented yesterday HTC HTC One (I looked this solution here). Comes with a sensor that provides only a resolution of 4 megapixels but only boasts a degree of light absorption of 3.3 times better than with current sensors. So pictures will have a better dynamic range, without the need for HDR processing.

How to unlock iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and 3GS without jailbreak

How to unlock iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and 3GS without jailbreak

We’ve found some interesting news related to the unlock of the so popular and debated iPhone 4S. Seems that the new iOS 5 allows some cool tricks so that the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and 3GS devices can be unlocked quite easily without the need of using the jailbreak.

But you may wonder how can this be possible? Well, seems that the new iOS 5 features a cute little bug that allows a way to carrier unlock the AT&T version of the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS without the need to jailbreak or damage any hardware pieces. This trick will allow you to use your iOS device on the T-Mobile network with Edge speeds, event though in the US this is still a popular avenue for a lot of the iPhone users.

So, if you want to try to unlock your iPhone 4S or 3GS you would need a T-Mobile MicroSIM card, but if you don’t you can cut one down to the same size as a MicroSIM and follow the next steps:

– Insert original carrier AT&T SIM cardDial 611 for AT&T customer service hotline and drop the call
– Turn on Airplane Mode
– Take out AT&T SIM card
– Insert T-Mobile SIM card
– Make sure WiFi is off ( also tap on ‘Forget this Network” to make sure it doesn’t connect automatically later)
– Switch off Airplane Mode and iPhone will search for network. This is followed by the Apple splash screen appearing.
– Activation Required will be displayed on the screen
– EDGE network will activate automatically – notice the ‘E’ on the top left corner of the screen
– Wait for about 20-30 seconds and turn off the phone
– Turn on iPhone and the same Activation Required screen will be displayed
– When you see one signal bar, tap on Use Cellular Connection
– Eject SIM card
– Activation Required screen will be displayed the second time
– Insert SIM card
– Unlocked!

So, if you’re convinced and want to give it a try, you should know that is a great working unlock solution, but it won’t survive a reboot of your iPhone. So, let us know how it works!
