Samsung Galaxy S2 for T-Mobile and TELUS – release date and price

by George on August 8, 2011

It seems that Samsung Galaxy S2 is heading to T-Mobile USA and TELUS Canada with a carrier-branded name, the Samsung Hercules, which means that a few aspects such as the look and hardware configuration are different. Very soon, T-Mobile USA and TELUS Canada customers will be able to enjoy the experience offered by such a powerful Android-based smartphone.

T-Mobile USA customers will be able to enjoy the experience offered by such a powerful Android-based smartphone. Samsung Hercules features a large 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, with 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB. Just like the Galaxy S2, Samsung Hercules has an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video recording capabilities (1080p) and runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Other highlights of the Hercules include Near Field Communication (NFC) capabilities, as well as category 24 HSDPA for T-Mobile’s 42Mbps HSPA+ network.

Speaking about the design, it seems that Samsung Hercules looks more like the Nexus S than the original Galaxy S2. Its back is metallic and a little brushed, adding an elegant and business style. Samsung Hercules release date is scheduled for September 26th and the price will probably be about $200 after various discounts.
