google-goggles-logoThe Google Goggles has just been updated to version 1.4 for all the Android phones.

This new update brings some new features and improvements, including an improved business card scanner that reads the information on a card as a contact instead of just text, making it easier to add new people to your contacts list. This 1.4 update for Android phones will also allow you to go through your Goggles results, make notes regarding those results, and share it with all of your friends. It will also allow you to add personal notes to your search history.

If there’s a case when Goggles cannot match an image or the result looks, the new 1.4 update lets you suggest a better answer. Tap on “Can you suggest a better result?” on the result and submit a tag. Google Goggles is available for free from the Android Market.

What’s in this version:

  1. Enhanced Search History feature allows you share results with others & search for prior results
  2. Improved business card scanning
  3. Suggest a result when Goggles fails to recognize an object
  4. Option to save query images to SD card
  5. Pictures taken during slow connectivity can be saved for later
  6.  Improved network reliability
