Software update for Nokia X2-00: firmware version 8.17

A new software update for the low cost phone Nokia X2-00 is now available for download via Nokia Ovi Suite.

This software release comes with an additional web browser, called Ovi Browser. A great number of other performance and usability improvements are also included. To get this software through your device, type in *#0000# on the home screen or go to Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Ovi Suite.

Nokia X2-00 features a 2.2 inch screen with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 5 megapixels camera with LED flash. Also, Nokia X2-00 comes with stereo speakers, 64 MB of RAM and microSD card slot. Unfortunately, the 3G network and the Wi-Fi connectivity are not supported. For data transfer you can use the microUSB cable or the Bluetooth v2.0.
