Software update for Nokia 5228, 5232, 5233 – firmware version 40.1.003

A three-in-one update is now available for the next Symbian devices Nokia 5228, 5232 and 5233. Nokia has just released this three-in-one firmware update also known as version 40.1.003.

The 40.1.003 update brings the Instant Messaging application, with a single chat interface for different service providers. The chat feature in Ovi Contacts has also been improved, and you also get an improved browser. This release also includes the Here and Now application that provides you with information on your current location, for example, the local weather forecast. In addition, Nokia Ovi Suite is now supported, and several applications have been improved, such as Ovi Store and Ovi Maps. There are also general performance improvements.

To get this software through your device, select Applications > Software Update, and choose the software you want to update. Alternatively, this software release is available through the Nokia Ovi Suite.
