iPhone 4Wall Street Journal affirmed that Apple is going to mass produce a new iPhone for the Verizon CDMA carrier by the end of 2010.

Apple Inc. plans to begin mass producing a new iPhone by the end of 2010 that would allow Verizon Wireless to sell the smartphone early next year, said people briefed by Apple.

It seems this new iPhone will have about the same look as iPhone 4, but it will be based on CDMA, which is an alternative wireless technology.

The phone should be available on Verizon Wireless in Q1 2011. Not even a word from Apple or Verizon about this report.
