Soon it will come Hero’s turn to get software update, from Android 1.5 to Android 2.1. This upgrade will be available to all customers of TELUS carrier.
The difference between these two versions, is that Android 2.1 has Flash Player support for a better internet browsing experience, Google Maps Navigation, support for Voice-dialer, and Multi-Touch navigation.
The Android 2.1 update for HTC Hero is already available for all Sprint customers since May, so it’s kind of annoying that TELUS makes its customers wait so much.
The software update availability for HTC Hero is unknown for the moment. Some sources affirm that the update will be available in Q4, and others this month or no later than next month.
